Public Transit

Public transit makes getting around town easier and more cost effective while helping ease growing traffic congestion in and around urban areas. DOTD’S goal is to improve public transit across the state so that all citizens-regardless of geographical location, physical limitation or economic status-can enjoy personal mobility.

Our Public Transportation division developed the Louisiana Transit Providers Guide to inform citizens, public officials, administrators, transit managers, and other interested parties about the availability of public transportation in Louisiana.
