DOTD advises that beginning on Tuesday, March 3 there will be intermittent lane closures on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the Jimmie Davis Bridge for the ongoing replacement project. Construction continues to progress, with the new bridge expected to be complete in 2027.

Progress continues on the $4.8 million project to repair a 4.2 mile section of LA 1200 in Rapides Parish. The contractor is installing new roadway base material and milling off old layers of asphalt in preparation for fresh asphalt paving. February 2026
DOTD advises motorists that work continues on the $3 million project to improve LA 30 between LA 74 and the East Baton Rouge Parish line in Iberville Parish. February 2026
DOTD advises the traveling public that all weather-related closures in the Shreveport-Bossier City region on state highways/interstates that were implemented during the winter storm have been reopened. There are no weather-related closures in place at this time.
Crews remain active treating roadways and addressing lingering hazards to help improve road conditions. Please avoid all unnecessary travel, stay safe and warm.
DOTD is prepared for possible wintry weather that may affect portions of the state later this week. Crews have been preparing since the start of the winter season, and are taking final steps to ensure all equipment and personnel are ready to go.
DOTD crews in the Alexandria region are removing leaning trees to help prevent downed trees once the winter storm hits. Other roadway pre-treatment operations have begun as well.
A $28 million project to replace three bridges on US 71 in Natchitoches Parish continues to make progress. The bridges being replaced are over Little Natchez Bayou, Saline Bayou and Chevreuville Bayou. January 2026
