Progress continues on Bluff Road in Ascension Parish with crews completing culvert backfilling and continuing embankment work. Next steps include raising the roadway and completing final striping and rumple strips. April 2026

Work continues on the $39 million project to replace the LA 544 (Tech Drive) overpass over I-20 in Ruston. Drilled shaft installations are underway, which form the deep foundations of the new bridge, as well as construction on the MSE wall. This project also includes 3 roundabouts to improve traffic flow and safety. March 2026

DOTD is proud to announce a major milestone in the ongoing Ambassador Caffery Interchange project. Motorists traveling on US 90 in the northbound direction will now be shifted to the permanent structure, marking significant progress in improving mobility and safety along the corridor. March 2026

DOTD and local leaders cut the ribbon on the new Pecue Lane interchange at I-10, marking the completion of a major infrastructure project designed to improve safety, reduce congestion and enhance connectivity in south Baton Rouge. March 2026

DOTD advises that beginning on Tuesday, March 3 there will be intermittent lane closures on the Arthur Ray Teague Parkway at the Jimmie Davis Bridge for the ongoing replacement project. Construction continues to progress, with the new bridge expected to be complete in 2027.

Progress continues on the $4.8 million project to repair a 4.2 mile section of LA 1200 in Rapides Parish. The contractor is installing new roadway base material and milling off old layers of asphalt in preparation for fresh asphalt paving. February 2026
