This project consists of conducting a Stage 0 Feasibility Study to evaluate theconstructability, safety, and operational feasibility of improvements to LA 1 from Port Allen to Plaquemine. The LA 1Corridor will be evaluated from its intersection with N Line Rd. to its junction with LA 988 (Schneblen St).

AECOM will prepare a formal traffic study for the purpose of analyzing alternatives to preserve and enhance mobility and safety on LA 1 while adequately serving current and future commercial and residential development.

During the study, there will be times dedicated to public comment and information. If you would like to be notified of these public meetings please-mail DOTD Customer Service at dotdcs@la.gov and ask to have you e-mail address added to the update list for the LA 1 Corridor Study (West Baton Rouge and Iberville).

DOTD is conducting a survey of residents and drivers who use the LA 1 corridor from the Intracoastal Waterway (North Line Road) to Bayou Plaquemine (LA 988- Schnebelen Road). We ask that you take a few minutes and provide some feedback to the Department. Your information will help us make this corridor safer and more efficient.
